The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic leader who can drive wholesale sales growth by implementing and spearheading the state business objectives.  You will have full responsibility to enhance operational performance by planning and implementing process improvement within your state.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver wholesale sales growth in line with KPI’s issued on a quarterly and yearly basis within the state
  • Deliver profit to budget through effective management of revenue & costs across relevant areas in your state
  • Reduce operating losses related to unknown and known stock losses across all product sections & implement all directions issued by the Head of Loss Prevention
  • Analyze and act on relevant reports and information given & required to improve the results and performance of your state
  • Actively canvas to grow the customer base and sales of your state & report as required
  • Investigate, report and aim to shut down & reduce illicit trade dealings in your state
  • Directly oversee the operations & WH&S processes for your state’s warehouse and ensure this is always a key focus
  • Manage the sales team for all in & outbound calls to build sales & relationships
  • Keep up to date with new products, threats and / or competition
  • Adherence to all state laws and regulations is upheld at all times
  • Foster collaborative relationships throughout the business to maintain superior levels of communication and professionalism
  • Follow up that all wholesale accounts are being paid in a timely manner with your customer base

The Successful candidate will possess:


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of leading a wholesale team
  • A proven business and commercial acumen is essential within the wholesale sector
  • Willing and able to travel as required for the role & must hold a valid car license
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft office application with a focus on excel
  • Willingness to undertake and complete development activities as nominated by SMGB.


  • Tertiary qualifications – in management, wholesale operations or business
  • A background within FMCG and/or Specialty Wholesale.
