The Opportunity

You will be leading a team of approximately 15 Team Members within a busy Retail/Wholesale Warehouse servicing Stores & Wholesale customer throughout QLD.

Reporting directly to the State Sales Managers with a dotted line to the State Wholesale Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the warehouse and managing tasks with the Office including Cash Handling and Balancing the Accounts.

You will be required to have a “hands on”, practical and resourceful approach to achieve and maintain high quality customer service to our Retail and Wholesale Customers, whilst upholding Work Health and Safety regulations. Managing the arrival, storage and distribution of all stock, in this role you would ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time in a safe and secure environment.

We have experienced considerable growth and are looking for an experienced Retail Warehouse manager to manage our team and drive our business to the next pillar.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate the receipt of all shipments, this includes the process of receiving, discrepancy, and damage reports as needed to the State Wholesale Manager or the State Sales Manager.
  • Ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-conforming product.
  • Manage and coordinate delivery driver daily run sheet and ensure compliance relating to checking of stock is adhered to.
  • Ensure customer payment terms and conditions are enforced with all overdue payments followed up on and received.
  • Accurate and timely reconciliation of daily takings in accordance with company banking processes.
  • Accurate and timely reconciliation of daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed by the State Sales Manager and / or State Wholesale Manager.
  • Manage facilitation of weekly roster ensuring time books are completed in time and in full to ensure colleagues are paid for hours worked.
  • Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, pallet stacker and handcart in line with Work Health and Safety practices.
  • Working closely with the State Sales Manager and / or State Wholesale Manager to ensure adequate stock levels are dispatched to our network of Wholesale customers.
  • Accountable for the accurate results and organisation of weekly and periodic cycle counts and stocktakes.
  • Responsible for the accurate recording of Wholesale transactions through the Point of Sale and relevant reporting avenues.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer and team members.
  • Ensure WH&S procedures are strictly adhered to.

The successful applicant will also have:

  • Strong experience in Retail Warehousing
  • Experience in Logistics and Warehousing environment.
  • Ideal candidate would have Retail Management experience having worked with Back docks and or Multi Site Experience
  • Knowledge of inventory and tracking systems.
  • Experience working within tight quality and efficiency parameters.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously.
  • A happy, friendly and energetic personality.
  • A desire to deliver high quality customer service.
  • Full Australian Driver’s License, with the ability (Licensed) to drive a manual vehicle.
